No INDEPENDENCE - no RULE OF LAW (2) If a Judge promises government, that in exchange for being appointed to the Bench, that he will when asked, decide as the government wants, then forever after the government "owns" that judge with the "confidence" of that promise. No INDEPENDENCE - no RULE OF LAW (3) If a Judge and one of the Lawyers speak privately about a case that lawyer is appearing on before that judge in the absense of the opposing lawyers, both should be diciplined and perhaps have their carrees ended. No INDEPENDENCE - no RULE OF LAW (4) If the Law Society and a Judge secretly discuss the conduct of a lawyer appearing at that time before that Judge that is improper. No INDEPENDENCE - no RULE OF LAW (5) If the media only prints/broadcasts what the government wants - that is very dangerous: fascist in fact. No INDEPENDENCE - no FREEDOM OF THE PRESS (6) If the RCMP refuse to investigate or charge government parties of apparent crimes because they are government - also very dangerous. No INDEPENDENCE - no RULE OF LAW (remember who exposed Watergate) All of the above and worse is the situation in BC. The COURTS, BC GOVERNMENT, LAW SOCIETY MAJOR LAW FIRMS, ENTIRE MEDIA, RCMP are all joined at the hip. No INDEPENDENCE - no RULE OF LAW and NO FREEDOM OF THE PRESS.
